Larry Williams grew up just across the street from a collision center outside of downtown Dallas, Texas. better known as old north Dallas or freedman town at city place off Hall and Ross As an adult, this neighborhood business inspired his interest in the collision industry and led him to become an expert in collision repair and auto claims adjusting. In the late 1970s, Larry received the incredible opportunity to begin learning collision repair skills through a government-funded program for young adults.
This program gave Larry a head start on his professional path, and in 1997, he began his twenty-four-year-long career in the insurance industry. Traveling around the United States, Larry worked in first responder claims, offering his expertise in damage audits and analysis of situations regarding natural catastrophes such as hurricanes, fires, floods, and more. As an expert in special inspections, he always proudly used his extensive background and attention to detail to form accurate estimates for clients. However, he also developed more than his skills working with physical, auto, and repair insurance throughout his career, as he gained invaluable experience with hiring, training, and guiding teams.
Today, Larry takes the knowledge he gathered from his time in the field and applies it to Giving Back, a summer program providing young men and women the tools they need to build thriving careers in the insurance claims industry. His ultimate goal is to create a training campus in the Dallas Fort Worth area so that he may serve not only his community but minority youth and young veterans around the country. Larry is also the founder of the non-profit organization National Minority Centers for Development and is a Senior Board Member with Innovative Providers of America LLC: Training Centers. Larry considers his greatest role to be that of a loving husband, father of seven, and grandfather of twenty-six. Of his seven children, three of his daughters have followed in his footsteps and pursued successful careers in the insurance claims industry.
